Chrysalis is an experimental film which combines 2D animation and live-action. 

The story is about a girl who imagines a perfect person, falls in love with her, and breaks up when realizing that person is normal like her. This process leads to self-acceptance and freedom.

 

This production had 5 weeks of preproduction, 3 weeks of production and 2 weeks of post-production.

The original score was composed by Thayer Vinton.
